Coin Counting Machine

Went with my parents to Suntec last Sunday cause dad wana change his coins for cash. It was on the news that there is a coin counting machine in Suntec. So we went after dad put his coins in separated bags. It was very heavy lor!

It seems that everyone is here to exchange their coins for cash. This is an exhibition held by the Singapore Mint. I have no idea if this is still there cause this is quite a back dated entry. LoL.

I believe this is the version 1 of the coin counting machine lor. Cuase the other 2 machines actually has LCD screen with animations while the coins are counting. Ours don't have.

It's very easy to use de lah. Just put money on the "plate" and press "Start Counting". LoL.

Look at the amount of money my dad brought. Piangz. My dad brought 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents and 1 dollar coins. Oh no worries, you can mix them together. The machine can separate them on its own. Think dad put too much coins cause something bad happened....

JAM!! COINS JAM!!

Had to call for assistance and he opened the machine and don't know do what. They should just stop using the version 1 machine. Cause they actually "ate" some of my dad's money when the helper opened the machine. Piangz. Not reliable one...

After finishing all the coins (they rejected abt 4 old coins..wow), we took the receipt and went over to the counter to exchange for cash. Maybe cause it's safer, they wrote a cheque to my dad. Dad lost abt $9 to the machine. Got service charge one hor. About $4 - $5. The remaining money...lost when the stupid machine was down. Argh. Sigh nevermind lah. Forget it. They gave my dad 800 credits to purchase anything from the Singapore Mint fair. In the end my parents bought 2 gold plated peaches, which they paid $60 for and got another 800 credits again. -_-"

But the peaches are cute, cause I chose de! LoL. K time to pak game liaoz. Ciaoz.

They should’ve just taken out the old version of the machine, since it’s not working properly. Anyhow, it’s pretty cool that they held this kind of event. I’m pretty this has helped a lot of people in counting their coins, especially you and your dad. I also collect coins, but I deposit them in the bank when my coin box is full. #Harriett Faulks

Coin counting machines really helps, instead of spending too much time on counting your pennies why don't you let the machine do the job!
